1.1 Million Phone Chargers Recalled Urgently Over Explosion and Burn Hazards

Urgent Recall: Over 1 Million Anker, Baseus Power Banks Posed Fire Risks (Images Included)

Anker has recalled more than one million PowerCore 10000 portable chargers sold via Amazon, eBay, and Newegg due to fire hazards linked to lithium-ion battery defects. The company reported 19 incidents of overheating, explosions, or fires, causing two minor burns and over $60,700 in property damage.

Affected Models & Replacement Process
The recall targets units with model number A1263 and serial numbers starting with “SN,” sold for $25.99 or higher. Anker advises users to stop using the device immediately and avoid tossing it in regular trash. Instead, dispose of it at a lithium battery facility.

To receive a free replacement, customers must submit a photo of their charger showing:

  • Model/serial numbers
  • Their name, date, and "RECALLED" written on the device.

Additional Anker models recalled include:

  • 334 MagGo 10K (A1642/A1647/A1652)
  • 321 Power Bank (5K) (A1112)
  • 535 Power Bank (20K) (A1366).

Baseus Portable Chargers Also Recalled
Separately, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of 55,000 Baseus 65W 30000mAh Portable Chargers (Model BS-30KP365) sold on Amazon, Walmart, and AliExpress (April 2020–April 2025). These units risk “bulging,” a dangerous swelling that precedes fires.

  • 72 reports of bulging batteries
  • 4 fires causing property damage

Identifiers include serial numbers ending in 0–9 or “D” and “65W” printed on the front. Consumers should stop use immediately and visit Baseus’ recall site for a replacement.
