The outage followed similar issues on Monday, July 14, where users described a “total blackout” lasting several hours. Downdetector maps revealed widespread problems both days, with 74% of reports citing internet failures and 23% noting disrupted TV services.

Frustrated Customers React

Social media erupted with complaints. One user tweeted, “Second day trying to work from home with no internet. Sort it out, @VirginMedia!” Another wrote, “Streaming the match was impossible. Unacceptable during peak hours.”

Virgin Media responded to Monday’s outage, stating teams were “working to resolve the issue,” but has yet to address Tuesday’s disruption.

The back-to-back outages have sparked criticism of Virgin Media’s reliability, especially as remote work and streaming demand grow. Users are urged to monitor Virgin Media’s official channels for updates.

As of publication, services are gradually restoring, but lingering disruptions highlight the need for robust infrastructure in an increasingly connected world.

Stay tuned for further developments.
