Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman and his wife, Francie Frane, are grieving after Francie’s 13-year-old grandson, Anthony Zecca, was accidentally shot and killed by his father, Gregory Zecca, in their Naples, Florida, apartment. Authorities confirmed the incident as an “isolated accident,” with no arrests made.
Gregory, 38—Francie’s son from a prior marriage—reportedly works alongside Chapman on his bounty hunting team. A known gun enthusiast, Gregory shared photos in 2021 of himself and Anthony at a shooting range, captioning it, “getting some range time in.”

Anthony, described as a spirited Christian boy, enjoyed dancing, Comic Con events, and shared a close bond with his grandparents. Last year, he recounted a heartfelt story about feeling the “Holy Spirit’s wind” while visiting Francie in the hospital after she injured her ankle.
The Chapmans, who married in 2020 after bonding over the loss of their late spouses, released a joint statement: “We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragedy and ask for prayers as we mourn our beloved Anthony.”

Despite the tragedy, the pair plans to host their 3rd Annual F.U.S.E. Restored Gala in Cape Coral, Florida, on November 15, continuing their advocacy against human trafficking.
