Rachel Zegler marked the end of her acclaimed run in London’s Evita revival with an emotional Instagram post on Saturday, celebrating a career resurgence following the box-office disappointment of Snow White earlier this year.
The 24-year-old Golden Globe winner shared a series of black-and-white photos from her time as Eva Perón, captioning the carousel: “I never imagined I’d get to be part of something so celebrated in this lifetime.” She praised the production as a “dream role in a dream show,” crediting director Jamie Lloyd, choreographer Fabian Aloise, and her castmates for the unforgettable experience.

Zegler’s performance earned a historic standing ovation at the London Palladium, which composer Andrew Lloyd Webber hailed as the venue’s “longest in history.” He tweeted: “Thanks to Rachel, Jamie, and everyone who made this extraordinary show possible.”
The role comes as a redemption for Zegler after Disney’s live-action Snow White underperformed critically and commercially in March 2024. The film faced backlash over controversial script changes and casting choices, with Zegler’s portrayal criticized as “woke” by some audiences.

Reflecting on her Evita journey, Zegler thanked fans and the creative team, writing: “The friends I’ve made are forever, and the memories we’ve shared bring me to tears at every curtain call.” She also expressed gratitude to the 220,000 attendees and dedicated fans who gathered daily outside the theater.
Offstage, Zegler has been spotted with rumored boyfriend Nathan Louis-Fernand, a French soccer player, during her London stay. Professionally, she continues to build her résumé with roles in 2023’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and 2024’s comedy Y2K and animated Spellbound.

With Evita solidifying her stage prowess, Zegler’s career trajectory remains one to watch. As she concluded her post: “The truth is I shall not leave you”—a nod to both her enduring connection to the role and her resilient spirit in Hollywood.
