Alexis Mac Allister Faces £4.5M Legal Battle with Ex-Girlfriend Over Compensation Claim

Alexis Mac Allister’s Ex Seeks $6M in Compensation After Split

Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister is facing a $6 million (£4.5m) lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend, Camila Mayan, following their 2022 split. The Argentine midfielder, who joined Liverpool from Brighton in 2023 and recently won the Premier League, ended his five-year relationship with Mayan shortly after his World Cup triumph with Argentina.

Mayan alleges Mac Allister cheated on her with his current partner, Ailen Cova, and is demanding $250,000 (£185,000) for each month they lived together abroad, totaling $6 million over two years. She claims she was forced out of England after the split. However, the court recently ruled the case will be heard in England—a decision Mayan calls a setback.

Legal Battle Heats Up
Mayan told Argentine outlet Paparazzi the legal process has been slow: “Everything’s fine, we’re seeing what we do next… Courts take time.” Mac Allister, meanwhile, has dismissed the claims, stating, “Everything is in court, where it should be, and we are waiting.” He denied cheating, adding, “I know how things went, and that’s why I’m very calm.”

Mayan fired back, saying she “learned a lot of things from TV” about his new relationship and accused him of using the media to distort her image.

New Chapter for Mac Allister
Since the split, Mac Allister has moved on with Cova, who joined him on the pitch after Jurgen Klopp’s final game as Liverpool manager. The couple announced in March they are expecting their first child, sharing the news in an emotional Instagram post. Cova wrote, “We love you with all our heart,” while Mac Allister called the moment a “dream.”

Mayan’s lawyer hinted the lawsuit was prompted by Mac Allister’s public relationship milestones, but the footballer insists the case lacks merit. With the court proceeding in England, the outcome remains uncertain, but Mac Allister’s focus remains on his career and growing family.
