The Australian motorsport community is grieving the tragic loss of Joseph Bianchini, a 13-year-old kart racing star whose health rapidly deteriorated before he passed away on August 22. Karting Australia released a heartfelt statement honoring Bianchini, who competed in Cadet and Junior categories nationwide. Described as a “much-loved” figure with “energy, passion, and a friendly nature,” his death has left a profound void. The organization extended condolences to his parents, Adrian and Maria, sister Allegra, and the wider Bianchini family.
Tragically, this marks the second heartbreaking loss for the Griffith Kart Club. In 2003, Joseph’s uncle, also named Joseph, died in a car accident at age 15.

McLean praised Bianchini’s selflessness and resilience, adding, “Your memory will remain a priority in my life. Fly high, Coyote.”
The Wagga & District Kart Racing Club also mourned the teen, calling him “truly honorable” and highlighting his unwavering sportsmanship. “Joseph always encouraged fellow racers and lent a hand to everyone he met. His legacy will endure,” their statement read.
