Coronation Street star Simon Gregson, 50, fueled speculation about his marriage to Emma Gleave after being photographed without his wedding ring in Cheshire. The actor, known for playing Steve McDonald, appeared casual in a grey hoodie and baseball cap while buying cigarettes. This follows months of rumors sparked by Emma being labeled his “estranged wife” in business documents earlier this year.

Despite denying a split in January, both have since been seen multiple times without their rings. Emma, 44, was photographed ringless during a Sainsbury’s trip, dressed in a parka and carrying flowers. The couple, married since 2010, share three sons.

Reports suggest financial strain may be a factor. Simon faces losing their family home if a £250,000 loan from his dissolved production company isn’t repaid within three years. Documents reveal the loan was transferred to a joint account with Emma, whom paperwork describes as “estranged.” A source close to the actor insists they remain together, calling the label a “mystery.”

Amid personal challenges, Simon has openly discussed his mental health struggles. On Loose Women, he revealed battling anxiety attacks since 1990, exacerbated by fame’s pressures. “It hits like a ton of bricks,” he said, admitting he nearly canceled his appearance due to a panic attack. He credits his children for inspiring him to seek help, fearing he’d “passed on” anxiety.

Reflecting on his early Corrie fame at 15, Simon lamented the lack of support: “We were dropped in the ocean and left to swim.” Now, he advocates for mental health awareness, hoping his openness helps others.

As rumors persist, representatives for Gregson have not provided further comment. Fans await updates on both his personal life and enduring role on the iconic soap.
