Delta Goodrem at 40: Wisdom for Her Younger Self

Delta Goodrem Reflects on Career and New Beginnings at 40

Australian singer Delta Goodrem, now 40, has opened up about the wisdom she’d share with her younger self: “It gets more fun.” As she embraces her “best era” personally and creatively, Delta is set to release her new album ATLED (her name spelled backward) through her independent record label, ATLED Records.

A Journey of Resilience
Delta’s career faced a pivotal challenge in 2004 when, at 18, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma while promoting her album Mistaken Identity. The diagnosis forced her to pause her global tour plans. Reflecting on the period, she shared a previously unseen photo from that time, calling the album a “raw emotion” born from her cancer battle. “It connected with others navigating struggles,” she told The Daily Telegraph.

Celebrating Survival and Music
Two decades later, Delta is preparing a triumphant Sydney Opera House tour in April 2025—a celebration of survival and her music’s enduring impact. “I’m the best version of an artist I’ve ever been,” she declared. The tour includes added dates due to high demand, revisiting Mistaken Identity’s deeply personal tracks that resonated with fans worldwide.
