Scandals Shake Strictly
The show faces turmoil ahead of its September premiere. A BBC investigation is ongoing into alleged drug use and alcohol breaches by unnamed contestants. A crew member claimed cocaine was “common” at after-parties, with one star offering him the drug. The BBC stated they have “clear protocols” for complaints.
This follows 2023’s controversy involving pro dancer Giovanni Pernice, accused of bullying by partner Amanda Abbington. The BBC upheld claims of “verbal harassment” but cleared him of physical aggression.
