Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho was seen in public in England for the first time since the end of the 2024–25 season, visiting a barbershop in Altrincham on Monday. The 21-year-old, dressed in a black Nike T-shirt and Palm Angels shorts, posed for selfies with fans outside Pure Fades before playfully covering his face from paparazzi and driving off.

Garnacho, who spent his summer vacationing in Japan, Spain, and Portugal, now faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford. Manager Ruben Amorim has reportedly marked him as expendable, with the Argentine among five players excluded from first-team preseason training.
Transfer Standoff
United rejected a £40 million bid from Napoli in January and is holding out for over £50 million for the winger. Garnacho reportedly turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi club Al-Nassr, preferring to remain in the Premier League. Despite appearing in 36 league games last season, he was frequently relegated to substitute duty—a trend that culminated in a mere 20-minute appearance during May’s Europa League final loss to Tottenham.

Frustration Boils Over
Garnacho hinted at dissatisfaction after the final, stating, “The final [selection] will influence my decision, but [so will] the whole season and the club’s situation.” His brother, Robert, escalated tensions by criticizing Amorim on Instagram: “Working harder than anyone, helping every round… just to get 19 minutes and be thrown under the bus.”
What’s Next?
While Garnacho aims to stay in England, United’s asking price and limited suitors complicate a swift exit. With the September 1 transfer deadline approaching, the youngster’s career hangs in the balance.

Garnacho’s blend of speed and flair once made him a fan favorite, but his rift with Amorim suggests a parting of ways is inevitable. As preseason progresses, all eyes remain on whether a Premier League club will meet United’s valuation—or if the starlet will be forced to reconsider overseas opportunities.
