Former Big Brother star and model Imogen Thomas, 42, revealed she will undergo a breast reduction in Istanbul, Turkey, on Wednesday. The mother-of-two explained the decision stems from recent weight loss that left her breasts “really big,” impacting her confidence. “I can’t wait to feel body confident again,” she told followers on Instagram, praising her surgeon’s expertise.

Imogen, who previously had breast augmentation (increasing from 34C to 34E), admitted this isn’t her first reduction. In 2017, she underwent a similar procedure, calling the experience “terrifying.” She tearfully confessed at the time, “I worried about leaving my kids behind.”

Personal Struggles Beyond Surgery
While focusing on her transformation, Imogen has also faced emotional challenges. Last year, she opened up about her mother Janet’s motor neurone disease (MND) diagnosis, calling it a “huge game-changer.” The terminal illness, which affects nerve cells controlling muscles, has left Imogen and her sister as primary caregivers. “It’s heartbreaking—we know what’s to come,” she said, adding that she sometimes cries herself to sleep feeling “robbed” of normal moments with her mother.

Travel Struggles and Advocacy
Imogen emphasized making memories with her mother despite obstacles. Traveling with disabilities has proven difficult, from airline neglect to inaccessible hotels. On a recent trip, staff forgot to assist them off a plane, and a Spanish resort lacked promised equipment. “Don’t advertise as disabled-friendly if you’re not,” she urged, detailing how such experiences trigger her mother’s anxiety.

Balancing Fitness and Life
The model has long been vocal about fitness struggles, admitting in 2019 that socializing complicates maintaining her figure. “I force myself to run after nights out,” she said. Her journey reflects a push for self-acceptance amid personal and physical challenges.

What is Motor Neurone Disease?
MND is a rare condition where nerve cells controlling muscles degenerate, causing weakness and paralysis. Life expectancy varies, but many live just 3–5 years post-diagnosis. Symptoms include slurred speech, swallowing difficulties, and muscle wasting.

Imogen remains determined to cherish time with her mother, stating, “We’re focused on making memories—you never know when it’ll stop.” Her resilience shines through both her personal battles and her journey toward body confidence.
