Jennifer Garner Opens Up About Botox, Aging, and Daughter Violet’s Advocacy

Jennifer Garner, 53, has candidly discussed her approach to cosmetic procedures and aging in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar. The actress revealed she’s tried Botox but avoids overdoing it. “I don’t do a ton, and Botox doesn’t work very well for me; that’s why I wear bangs a lot. I like to be able to move my forehead—it’s such a big part of my face. I have, like, a five-head,” she joked.

Garner emphasized caution with injectables, advising, “Find somebody fantastic and proceed with caution.” While she hasn’t pursued plastic surgery yet, she’s consulted doctors who’ve reassured her it’s unnecessary. “God only knows 10 years from now what the conversation will be. I’m not there yet,” she added.

Embracing Aging
The 13 Going on 30 star champions aging gracefully. In 2022, she urged fans to “look at the mirror less” and delay injectables: “Don’t think you’re 37 and need to be shooting up your face.” She reiterated this to People in 2023: “Aging is a gift. Take care of yourself, but don’t be scared.”

Garner, a mother of three, embraces her age: “I don’t want to be younger. I’m grateful to be 53—living in my power, wisdom, and joy. I want to live to 100 and don’t expect to look like I do today.”

Violet Affleck’s Climate Advocacy
Garner’s eldest daughter, Violet, 19, recently made headlines for her climate activism. In a Yale essay, she described her family’s experience during California wildfires, noting her mother’s shock at their neighborhood’s destruction. Violet, however, wasn’t surprised: “As a Gen Z Angelena, my question wasn’t if the Palisades would burn, but when.”

She also addressed her brother Samuel’s confusion about climate change’s role in disasters, stressing the urgency of education.

COVID-19 Advocacy
Last year, Violet spoke at a Los Angeles County meeting, advocating for mask mandates and long COVID awareness. Introducing herself as “Violet Affleck, first-time voter,” she shared her own post-viral struggle and called for improved safety measures: “Mask bans make vulnerable communities less safe. We need accessible testing and treatment.”

Garner, who shares Violet, Seraphina (16), and Samuel (13) with ex Ben Affleck, balances parenting with her career while promoting self-acceptance. Her message remains clear: Age with confidence, prioritize health, and face the future with resilience.
