Lukas Nelson, son of music icon Willie Nelson, left podcast host Joe Rogan stunned after recounting his surreal encounters with UFOs during a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. The country singer described witnessing unexplained orb-like crafts in Hawaii, mirroring a wave of similar sightings across the U.S.

Hawaii Encounters: "Faster Than Any Drone"

Nelson recalled two incidents in Hawaii. The first occurred in 2006 on Maui, where he and others spotted an orange orb hovering 200 yards above ground. “It seemed to observe us, then shot away at unreal speeds—faster than any drone—and vanished into the atmosphere,” he explained. Years later, on Lanai, he saw a pulsating, multicolored craft gliding across the horizon, leaving his group awestruck.

A Global Phenomenon

Nelson’s accounts align with dozens of orb-UFO reports logged by the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC). Since 2020 alone, 46 incidents involve orange orbs displaying eerie similarities: hovering silently, observing witnesses, then accelerating impossibly fast. One California resident reported in February 2024, “A bright light shined in my window. Once I saw it, it zipped away.”

The Infamous "Tic-Tac" UFO

Nelson called the 2004 USS Nimitz “Tic-Tac” UFO incident the “most compelling” case. Fighter pilot David Fravor encountered a 40-foot, wingless object off San Diego that mimicked his jet’s movements before darting off at hypersonic speeds. “That’s the kind of proof that’s hard to ignore,” Nelson remarked.

NYC and Georgia: Recent Orb Sightings

In late December 2024, glowing orange orbs sparked panic near New York’s JFK Airport. A Queens resident filmed luminous objects unlike any aircraft, stating, “I’ve lived here 14 years—I’ve never seen anything like this.” Days later, a Georgia father and son chased an orange orb while taking out trash. “It moved smoothly, no sound,” the father told NUFORC. Both incidents remain unexplained.

Alien Saviors or Secret Tech?

Nelson speculated that advanced beings might be guiding humanity to avoid self-destruction, citing the 1967 Malmstrom AFB incident where a UFO reportedly disabled nuclear missiles. Rogan countered that many sightings could be classified U.S. tech. “This stuff often happens over military airspace,” he noted, suggesting covert projects might explain the phenomena.

While Nelson doubts a government cover-up, both agreed some UFOs defy conventional explanation. “Whether it’s aliens or our own tech,” Nelson said, “it’s a reminder of how much we still don’t know.”
