Kiefer Sutherland, 58, delighted fans in North Yorkshire’s picturesque village of Knaresborough while filming Tinsel Town, a festive comedy co-starring Rebel Wilson. The Hollywood actor, known for 24 and The Lost Boys, drew crowds eager to snap photos with him during breaks from shooting.

Locals shared their excitement on social media, with one business writing: “Having famous faces in our town has been incredible! Annie met the lovely Kiefer Sutherland today, and Rob was even an extra!” Another fan gushed: “Meeting Kiefer was surreal! I quoted The Lost Boys at him—he was so kind!”

The film, set for a December 2025 release on Sky Cinema, follows Rebel Wilson as Jill, a small-town choreographer, and Sutherland as Bradley Mack, a washed-up action star attempting a career revival via a regional theater production of Cinderella. After losing his franchise role, Mack begrudgingly joins the play and forms an unexpected bond with Jill, reigniting his passion for performance.

Rebel Wilson teased her role, joking: “In Australia, Christmas means beach BBQs, but here I’m freezing my t**s off while sledding—it’s perfect!” Director Chris Foggin (Bank of Dave*) helms the project, blending humor and heart for a quintessential British holiday tale.

Residents praised the production for showcasing Knaresborough’s charm, with filming expected to wrap this month. While a UK release is confirmed for Sky Cinema, international distribution plans remain under wraps.

Sutherland’s down-to-earth demeanor won over locals, proving even action heroes enjoy Yorkshire’s cozy winters. With festive laughs and star power, Tinsel Town is poised to become a holiday favorite.
