Netflix, one of the UK’s most popular streaming platforms, has announced another round of price increases, frustrating its 17.3 million British subscribers. Effective February 6, the hikes affect all plans, marking yet another uptick in costs over recent years.
Plan Breakdown and New Prices
The Standard with Adverts plan (basic tier with ads) jumps from £4.99 to £5.99/month. The ad-free Standard plan, the most popular tier, rises by £2 to £12.99/month. The top-tier Premium plan (4K streaming for up to four devices) increases by £1 to £18.99/month. Extra member fees for sharing outside a household also climb: non-ad users pay £5.99/month (+£1), while ad-tier users pay £4.99/month (+£1).
