Newcastle United stormed into the Carabao Cup final with a resounding 4-0 aggregate victory over Arsenal, booking their first Wembley appearance in over two decades and reigniting hopes of ending a 70-year silverware drought. The Magpies sealed the deal with a commanding second-leg performance, leaving the Gunners shell-shocked.

First Half Dominance

The hosts wasted no time asserting control. Miguel Almirón broke the deadlock in the 15th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error to slot past Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale. Just ten minutes later, Sean Longstaff doubled the lead with a clinical finish, sending the St James’ Park crowd into raptures.

Arsenal, missing key players due to injury, struggled to cope with Newcastle’s relentless pressing. Bruno Guimarães orchestrated the midfield, while Kieran Trippier’s pinpoint crosses kept the visitors on the back foot.

Second-Half Supremacy

After the break, Callum Wilson headed home Trippier’s delivery to make it 3-0 (4-0 aggregate), effectively ending the contest. Substitute Joelinton added a fourth in the 78th minute, hammering in a rebound after Ramsdale parried Alexander Isak’s shot.
