Australian snowboarding legend Torah Bright, 38, has announced she’s expecting her third child—and revealed her eldest son, Flow, predicted the pregnancy before she even conceived. The 2010 Winter Olympics halfpipe gold medallist shared the news on Instagram, joking that Flow, 6, might possess a “sixth sense.”

‘He Knew Before I Did’
Bright posted a heartfelt message alongside photos of her growing family: “Flow told people I had a baby in my belly a month before I was even pregnant. Maybe he already knows this little soul.” Her younger son, Halo, 3, has also bonded with the unborn baby, kissing her belly nightly. “Our hearts are expanding,” Bright wrote, adding she feels the baby is likely another boy but will keep the gender a surprise.

From Olympic Glory to Motherhood
Famed for her historic gold medal win in Vancouver, Bright retired from professional snowboarding in 2020. She married fellow athlete Angus Thomson in 2015, and the couple now splits time between Australia and the U.S.

Controversy and Regret
Bright made headlines in 2021 after sharing a photo of herself breastfeeding Halo while performing a yoga headstand. The polarizing image sparked debates online, with critics calling it “attention-seeking” and supporters praising her strength.

Addressing the backlash at the time, Bright urged mothers to support one another: “Motherhood is hard enough. Embrace our differences. We all do it differently—there’s no right or wrong.”

A Growing Family
Bright’s latest pregnancy marks a new chapter for the athlete-turned-entrepreneur, who balances parenting with advocating for environmental causes. She concluded her announcement with gratitude: “We’re so excited to meet this little one. Every day feels like a new adventure.”
