Taylor Swift and Kylie Kelce were spotted sharing jokes and hugs at a New Orleans restaurant Saturday, hours before Super Bowl LVIII tips off—a game that will divide the Kelce family. Viral photos on Swift fan accounts showed the duo enjoying a casual outing ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles showdown at Caesars Superdome.
Kylie, wife of retired Eagles legend Jason Kelce, remains a staunch Philadelphia supporter, despite her brother-in-law Travis Kelce starring for the Chiefs. Jason, who retired last season after 13 years with the Eagles, admitted he’s torn: “I want Travis to play well, but I’ll be cheering for the Eagles to win,” he told reporters. Swift, who once claimed Eagles fandom before dating Travis, will firmly back Kansas City.

This year’s game is less tense than 2023’s historic “Kelce Bowl,” where Travis’ Chiefs defeated Jason’s Eagles. “It’s more comfortable this time,” Travis said this week. “Last year was tough emotionally for everyone. But you can’t ignore that Kylie’s still an Eagles die-hard.”
Adding intrigue, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday that Travis, 34, is seriously contemplating retirement after the game—despite previously stating he could play three more seasons. A decision is expected before free agency begins March 12. When asked about his future earlier this week, Travis remained coy: “I love this game and feel I’ve got plenty left. But I’m preparing for life after football too.”

Kylie praised Travis’ resilience in reaching a fourth Super Bowl, calling it “a testament to his drive,” though she playfully added, “I hope he loses!” The sisters-in-law’s bond has grown this season, with Swift attending multiple Chiefs games and Kylie appearing on her podcast to discuss Jason’s retirement transition.
While Travis seeks a third championship, the Eagles aim to reclaim glory after their 2023 loss. Philadelphia’s revamped defense, led by newly acquired edge rusher Micah Parsons, poses a threat to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City, however, boasts the NFL’s top-rated offense, with Travis tallying 1,203 receiving yards this season.
The Kelce family plans to watch together in a VIP suite, wearing customized half-Chiefs, half-Eagles jerseys. “It’s about celebrating both brothers,” said their mother, Donna. “But I’ll need a stiff drink by halftime!”
As kickoff approaches, all eyes are on Travis—both for his performance and potential retirement announcement. For Swift and Kylie, though, Saturday’s laughter-filled meetup was a reminder that family ties transcend team rivalries.
