Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes are reportedly planning an exclusive pre-Super Bowl gathering for the wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of the Kansas City Chiefs, just days after Swift snubbed close friend Blake Lively from her guestlist.
The pop superstar, 35, and Mahomes, 29—wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes—are organizing a bonding event for the team’s WAGs ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Philadelphia Eagles. A source told Life and Style, “Taylor is basically the unofficial queen of the group, and Brittany is her right hand. They want to celebrate together before the big game.”

The plans emerge amid reports of tension between Swift and actress Blake Lively, who was notably absent from Swift’s VIP suite. A source revealed to DailyMail.com that Lively, 37, was omitted due to her involvement in a legal dispute with actor Justin Baldoni over creative differences in their film It Ends With Us. Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit claims Lively name-dropped Swift during a tense meeting, leaving him feeling pressured to comply with her demands. “Taylor wants nothing to do with this trial,” the source added.
Lively had joined Swift’s entourage during last year’s Super Bowl, but her absence this year hints at a fractured friendship. Meanwhile, Mahomes—who recently welcomed her third child—arrived in New Orleans early, taking her children to the aquarium as she balances family life with pre-game festivities.

Political Tensions and Trump’s Surprising Support
Rumors of a rift between Swift and Mahomes surfaced last year when Mahomes publicly endorsed Donald Trump, while Swift campaigned for Kamala Harris. However, the duo has since put politics aside, even as Trump confirmed he’ll attend Sunday’s game. In a surprising twist, Trump praised Swift’s boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, calling him “the greatest tight end ever” and wishing the team luck.
Kelce’s Lavish Victory Plans
If the Chiefs win, they’ll make history as the first NFL team to secure three consecutive Super Bowl titles. Kelce, 34, has reportedly prepped a $200,000 champagne and $11,000 cigar celebration for his teammates.
Swift’s arrival time in New Orleans remains unclear, but her presence is expected to electrify the Chiefs’ sidelines. The singer—who once jokingly claimed to be an Eagles fan during a Philadelphia Eras Tour stop—will undoubtedly cheer on Kelce as he chases a legendary three-peat.
