Tesla Launches Futuristic Hollywood Diner With Robot Servers, Drive-In Theater, and CyberTruck-Themed Meals

Elon Musk’s Tesla Diner Debuts in Hollywood: A Retro-Futuristic Charging Experience

Elon Musk, known for ventures like flamethrowers and SpaceX, has ventured into the food industry with the Tesla Diner, a 24/7 “retro-futuristic” eatery and charging station on Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood. Combining futuristic tech with 1950s flair, the diner aims to rival fast-food giants while offering Tesla drivers and moviegoers a unique pit stop.

A Dual Purpose: Charging and Dining
The diner features the world’s largest urban Supercharging station with 80 V4 stalls, topped by solar canopies that Tesla claims reduce carbon emissions by 26.6 million pounds annually. Open to all drivers, the site includes two 66ft LED screens for outdoor movies, viewable from cars or the rooftop “Skypad.” Inside, a Tesla Optimus robot serves popcorn, blending automation with classic diner charm.

Menu Highlights
With 250 seats across two levels, the diner offers a range of affordable options:

  • Breakfast: $12 Egg Sandwich, $11 Breakfast Tacos.
  • Burgers & Sandwiches: $13.50 Tesla Burger, $14 Tuna Melt.
  • Kids’ Meals: Served in Cybertruck-themed boxes ($9–$13).
  • Desserts: $12 Apple Pie, $5 Chocolate Chip Cookies.

While the menu leans casual, some criticized the lack of plant-based options—even fries are cooked in beef fat.

Mixed Reactions
Social media buzzed with excitement, with users calling it “the coolest place in LA” and a future tourist hotspot. However, locals raised concerns about the giant LED screens blocking apartment views. One X user lamented, “Imagine living in one of those apartments facing it.” Others noted accessibility issues for dietary preferences.

Tech Meets Nostalgia
Orders can be placed via car touchscreens, and a gift shop sells Tesla-themed merch, from gummy sweets to robot action figures. Though still new, the diner embodies Musk’s flair for blending innovation with spectacle—whether it’s a hit or a misfire, it’s undeniably unconventional.
