Title: Andrea McLean Emotionally Reveals Move to Spain After Near-Death Health Scare and Business Struggles

Andrea McLean, 55, has announced her move to Spain in an emotional Instagram video, marking a fresh start after years of personal struggles. The former Loose Women host fought tears as she revealed the surprise decision, gesturing to packed boxes around her home. “I wasn’t going to say anything yet,” she admitted, “but a private conversation leaked, so here we are.”

Andrea shared her news in a tearful video, surrounded by moving boxes.

Since leaving Loose Women in 2020, Andrea faced financial setbacks after her female empowerment brand, This Girl On Fire, collapsed earlier this year. The business had drained savings from the sale of her £1 million Surrey home. Health crises compounded her challenges: she nearly died from sepsis and pneumonia in late 2024 after being found unconscious at home. “Doctors said if I’d waited 24 hours longer, I wouldn’t be here,” she told The Mirror.

Andrea was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening sepsis and pneumonia.

Her husband, Nick Feeney, supported her through the ordeal, even pausing his own life to care for her. “His world stopped too,” Andrea said gratefully. The health scare became a turning point: “You realize you have to seize the day,” she explained in her video. “I’ve always dreamed of living by the sea in the sun. The timing isn’t perfect, but you never know how many moments you have left.”

Fans flooded her post with support, praising her courage. One wrote, “New adventures await—sending love!” Andrea, a mother of two adult children, plans to focus on writing in Spain, having already authored three bestselling books. A source close to her shared, “After nearly losing everything, she’s prioritizing happiness and family.”

Though still recovering—she’s experienced hair loss post-illness—Andrea recently returned to TV, calling it a “nervous but exciting” step. Reflecting on her journey, she said, “There’s freedom in accepting what you can’t control. I’m embracing this new chapter.”
