Cat Deeley, 48, and Patrick Kielty, 54, have confirmed their separation after 12 years of marriage. In a joint statement, they shared: “We have taken the decision to end our marriage. There is no other party involved. We remain united as loving parents to our children and ask for privacy.” The pair, who share sons Milo, 9, and James, 7, had been living in London after relocating from Los Angeles in 2020.

A Decade-Long Friendship Turned Romance
The couple first met in 2002 while co-hosting BBC’s Fame Academy but began dating a decade later. Patrick famously flew from Belfast to Los Angeles in 2012 to surprise Cat for her birthday brunch, sparking their romance. “There had always been a spark,” Patrick later recalled. They married in an intimate Rome ceremony that same year.

Family Challenges and Relocation
In March 2024, Cat missed the funeral of Patrick’s mother, Mary, to support their grieving sons. Patrick was photographed solemnly carrying Mary’s coffin in their Irish hometown. A spokesperson for Cat stated she stayed in London to comfort the children.

The family had moved back to the UK in 2020 after 14 years in LA, citing safety concerns following a harrowing incident where Patrick hid from a gunman in a mall. “LA didn’t feel as safe post-pandemic,” Cat explained. They sold their Beverly Hills home for $4.9M and purchased a £4.9M fixer-upper in Hampstead.

Career Pressures and Public Glimpses
Balancing careers strained their relationship. While Cat co-hosted This Morning in London, Patrick filmed The Late Late Show in Ireland. In late 2023, Cat worked in Atlanta for seven weeks, which Patrick called “a tricky juggle.” He later noted their schedules allowed family time: “She’s back by lunchtime… we have weekends together.”

Last year, Cat revealed on air that they slept separately during her workweek to accommodate early wake-ups. The pair, worth an estimated £11M, prioritized co-parenting despite their split.

Final Public Moments
Their last joint Instagram post dates to September 2023. Both had previous marriages—Cat to Mark Whelan (2001–2006) and Patrick to Amanda Byram (1998–2003).

As they navigate separation, the focus remains on their children and maintaining privacy during this transition.
