Joe Rogan Stunned by CIA’s Cold War Terror Plot to Smear Communism
The shocking details of Operation Gladio and its deadly consequences

During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, host AJ Gentile of The Why Files left Rogan speechless after revealing a dark CIA Cold War operation: Operation Gladio. Between the 1960s and 1980s, over 110 civilians in Italy were killed in false-flag attacks orchestrated by U.S. intelligence to frame communist Russia and quash its political influence in Europe.

Joe Rogan was stunned by revelations of CIA-led bombings disguised as communist attacks.

Operation Gladio Exposed
Initiated post-WWII (1947–48), Gladio remained active until 1990, when Italy exposed its existence. Gentile explained the CIA trained a clandestine civilian army to bomb public spaces, including train stations and markets, then blame the Soviet Union. “They bombed civilians to turn opinion against communists,” he said, noting Italy’s Communist Party was already popular at the time.

Nazi Collaboration and False-Flag Attacks
Shockingly, the CIA partnered with Reinhard Gehlen, a former Nazi intelligence chief, to execute Gladio. Gehlen, later a CIA asset, recruited ex-Nazis to counter Soviet influence. His ally, CIA Director Allen Dulles, spearheaded the “strategy of tension”—false-flag attacks to destabilize communities and discredit communism.

Key bombings included:

  • 1969 Milan bombing: 17 killed, 88 injured.
  • 1980 Bologna station massacre: 85 dead, 200 wounded.

Government Cover-Ups and Risks
Gentile admitted fearing retaliation for discussing such operations. When Rogan asked if he hesitated to expose cover-ups, Gentile replied, “Yes. They’re dangerous.” Declassified documents confirm Gladio’s ties to NATO and European agencies, sparking decades of speculation about U.S.-backed terrorism.

Operation Northwoods and JFK’s Fate
The podcast also touched on Operation Northwoods, a 1962 plan to stage attacks on Americans and blame Cuba for justifying invasion. JFK rejected it, a decision Gentile called “the beginning of the end” for the president. Months later, JFK was assassinated—a event some tie to his opposition to CIA schemes.

JFK during his presidency
JFK’s resistance to CIA plans may have contributed to his 1963 assassination.

Eisenhower had warned JFK about the “military-industrial complex,” urging caution with the CIA. Gentile emphasized these operations reveal a disturbing pattern of covert tactics shaping global politics, often at civilians’ expense.

Operation Gladio remains a chilling reminder of Cold War ruthlessness, underscoring the lethal cost of ideological wars.
