Tom Brady swatted away claims of officiating bias favoring the Kansas City Chiefs, calling conspiracy theories “a bunch of noise” ahead of their Super Bowl clash with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The retired NFL legend, now Fox Sports’ lead analyst, addressed rumors suggesting referees have unfairly aided the Chiefs’ pursuit of a third straight title. Brady, who signed a 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox, emphasized the difficulty of referees’ jobs during a Fox & Friends interview.

“These refs have very challenging jobs. I’m happy Twitter didn’t exist during the Tuck Rule Game in 2001,” Brady joked, referencing the controversial call that propelled his Patriots dynasty. “They make split-second decisions. Sometimes calls go your way, sometimes they don’t. Players decide outcomes over 140 plays, not refs.”

The Chiefs faced scrutiny this season for perceived favorable calls, including critical penalties in playoff wins over the Ravens and Bills. Brady, however, praised officials as “professional” and dismissed claims of league manipulation. “The players have every chance to impact the game,” he added.

Brady’s role as a Fox analyst coincides with his bid to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. NFL restrictions bar him from criticizing officials publicly. Meanwhile, he’s reportedly advising the Raiders on their rebuild, which includes new hires like ex-Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and GM John Spytek.

As Brady transitions to broadcasting, his insights carry weight. The seven-time Super Bowl champion highlighted the Eagles’ underdog mentality and Chiefs coach Andy Reid’s legacy: “Both teams know how to win when it matters.”

While fans debate officiating, Brady’s focus remains on gameplay: “That’s what I’m excited to see Sunday.”
