Tottenham Fans Plan Major Protest Against Chairman Daniel Levy

Tottenham Hotspur’s struggles on the pitch have sparked a boiling point for fans, with organized protests set to target chairman Daniel Levy ahead of Sunday’s clash against Manchester United. Sitting 14th in the Premier League and eliminated from domestic cups, frustration over the club’s 17-year trophy drought and Levy’s leadership has reached new heights.
Growing Anger Over Levy’s Tenure
Levy, chairman since 2001, faces unprecedented backlash as disillusioned supporters demand accountability. Despite posting a staggering £615million revenue last season and charging the second-highest season ticket price in Europe (£856), Tottenham’s on-field decline has been stark. The club last secured a top-three league finish in 2018, and manager Ange Postecoglou’s underwhelming debut season has intensified scrutiny.
Anti-Daniel Levy banners have become common at Tottenham games as fan frustration grows.
The Protest Plan
Fan group Change for Tottenham is spearheading the movement, organizing a pre-match march and a post-match sit-in at the South Stand. The protest marks the largest coordinated action against Levy in his 24-year reign. Slogans like “L£VY OUT” and “Profit Before Glory” have already echoed around the stadium this season, but organizers vow to escalate efforts.
“Levy is killing a once-great club for his own gain,” spokesperson Jay Coughlan told GB News. “Fans deserve a voice. We’ve watched the club lose its identity.”
Tottenham’s steep season ticket costs contrast sharply with their league struggles.
A Warning to Levy
Coughlan emphasized this protest is “only the start,” with more actions planned unless Levy addresses concerns. “In 2019, we were in a Champions League final. Now we’re in a relegation battle,” he added in an interview with The Sun.
While protests have occurred sporadically, dissatisfaction has deepened this season. Fans accuse Levy of prioritizing commercial success over sporting ambition, pointing to erratic managerial appointments and transfer missteps.
Levy’s financial acumen hasn’t translated to trophies, leaving fans disillusioned.
Pressure on Postecoglou
Though Postecoglou shoulders blame for recent results, fans largely view Levy as the root issue. The Australian manager, hired after Antonio Conte’s exit, has struggled to steady the ship, with Spurs winning just six league matches this term.
Sunday’s game against 10th-placed Manchester United could prove pivotal. A loss might plunge Tottenham closer to the bottom three, fueling further unrest.
What’s Next?
With tensions escalating, all eyes are on Levy’s response. For now, supporters warn they won’t relent until tangible changes occur. As one banner reads: “Enough Talk. Act Now.”
