Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve has condemned the disturbing trend of fans hurling sex toys onto WNBA courts, calling it a harmful example of the "sexualization of women" and demanding accountability. The incidents, now linked to a cryptocurrency meme coin scheme, have sparked outrage across the league.

Coach Reeve Takes a Stand

Reeve addressed reporters after a recent game: "This has been going on for centuries. The sexualization of women is the latest version of that. It’s not funny. These people should be held accountable."

Her remarks came just hours before two more dildos were launched onto the court during a Chicago Sky vs. Atlanta Dream game. Security detained suspects, but they were released due to lack of proof.

Players React to "Disrespectful" Incidents

Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham, who was struck by a sex toy during a game, tweeted: "Stop throwing dildos on the court… you’re going to hurt one of us."

Chicago Sky center Elizabeth Williams added: "It’s super disrespectful. Whoever is doing it needs to grow up."

Crypto Link and Arrests

The pranks are tied to the promotion of "$BONK," a Solana blockchain-based meme coin. One suspect, 18-year-old Kaden Lopez, was arrested in Arizona for throwing a dildo that struck a fan. He called it a "stupid prank trending on social media."

League officials and venues are ramping up security, but the trend persists, raising concerns about player safety and the trivialization of women’s sports.
